Los Tres Ojos

Yesterday (Saturday) we visited the coolest place-- three caves with fresh water fed from an underground river  they are called Tres ojos because they are supposed to look like eyes. They didn't look like eyes to me but they were beautiful!! 

In the caves there are stalagmites, stalactites and what my dad used to call "stick mighty-tights" because they reach from the ceiling to the floor.

This is the only lake that can be seen from above.

This was our guide who charged us 1300 pesos to take us through the park when the entrance fee was 100 pesos and afterward asked for a tip. We just chalk it up to charity because undoubtedly they need the money more than we do.

For 500 pesos this old man will climb up the rocks in the second photo and dive from the little cave at the top. When he reaches the surface he spouts water like a whale... Spence, you have a career here if you can learn to spout water!
