(Apparently when the Dominicans get the braids attached to their hair they can't get them wet, so a white grocery bag preserved the look)

My mom is on a mission in the Bronx, NY and works with a lot of Dominicans. This is a big thing to accommodate when it comes to baptisms for the dead as well! They plan around hair for temple trips.
